Sherpa is not a motif. Again, it's a specific ethnicity of people native to Nepal. I'm not sure how you are using it? Maybe I should tell my next door neighbor - a Britisher whose ancestors hale from Scotland that she is really a Namboodiri Brahmin? Or maybe my other neighbor, a Jamaican whose ancestors hale from West Africa, that she is really a Rajput? Maybe my work colleague from Italy can choose between being a Bengali kayastha or a Bengali baidya.
